Project_3 : Heat transfer to glass with hot heating plate
Time-dependent thermal behavior of a structure is interesting part of simulations. We will study the thermal behavior of glass during the heating process with hot heating plate by Calculix. The hot heating plate located at the top and bottom sides of structure(glass) as below.
The hot plate subject to 873℃ temperature during 1-hr and the structure(glass) heated from room temperature(20℃). Below shows time-dependent Air-Structure temperature cut-sections.
The maximum temperature(723℃) observed at the outside corner of the structure and minimum(429℃) inside the center of structure.
